Enfield 1886 manufacture. Action body and barrel marked KK.A 11.08 indicating assembly by the Kirkee Arsenal (India) in November 1908 from parts supplied by RSAF Enfield. Butt stock has the brass cup for long lever relocated further back and the earlier spot as used for the Mk III rifle plugged. There is a modification or stock patch in front of the trigger guard as shown in photo. Stock cartouche is visible with date 1908 stamped above. Overall very good condition for its age and travels. Bore is very good, bright with strong rifling, some darkening near the muzzle.
