British made, completely refurbished in India. Original marking on right side of butt socket have been removed and left side stamped No.1 Mk III* over FR 45, where FR is an Indian factory marking and 45 is the date 1945. Indian stores mark on butt stock S, broad arrow, A, 1 in a circle. Matching serial numbers on receiver, barrel, bolt, bayonet stud and magazine. Bore is VG+. Top rear handguard is cracked and reglued on top and is shortened. Very nice example.
