Very interesting lot of soldier’s personal items consisting of: 1. Soldier's comfort bag - green cotton drawstring bag for personal care items. Original very good condition with slight soiling, not cleaned. 2. Original Japanese Army WWII military fan. Meatball on one side, rising sun on the other with lots of Japanese characters written onto the fan surface. 3. Belt of 1000 Stitches. White linen cloth belt made by Japanese women and given to soldiers to protect them in combat. Kanji characters in black ink, perhaps the soldier’s name. 4. Mortuary tablets (2). Thin wooden pieces 20mm wide x 100mm long with writing on front and back appear to have been removed from a memorial to be carried in a soldier’s personal kit. 5. WWII flashlight. Very simple small flashlight that plugs into a dynamo charged battery pack to provide operating power. Flashlight only. 6. WWII Pocket Knife with can opener. A very unusual folding pocket knife showing considerable use but with original paint remaining. Has can opener as one tool in addition to blade. Small wooden board attached with string has Japanese characters. Overall length with blade closed is 3 inches. 7. Fishing Line and Compass. Compass is 1 inch diameter. 8. Original field dressing with writing on outside. Five inches long. 9. Military Issue Wallet. Personal wallet with military images on front. Shows lots of use, in good condition with some paper contents as shown with Japanese writing. Length 4 inches.
