BSA manufactured on contract for Siam in 1920. This contract was for only 10,000 rifles. The buttsocket is marked to the Wild Tiger Corps and "Mark Rama V1 BE 2462" the Buddist year of 1919 and the King's chosen name. These rifles saw very hard use but this one is complete and in good condition externally. Frequently referred to as the “Smiling Tiger SMLE. The bore is poor, shiny with only faint rifling, heavy wear, scratches inside the bore and a dark ring near the muzzle. Not recommended for shooting, for collection only. Comes with a Pattern 1907 bayonet also marked to the Wild Tigers. Scabbard is standard steel mounted leather.
