Extremely uncommon and very unusual. Highly researchable. Manufactured of bronze in 1918 by a famous Italian firm of gunmakers and machinists. Appears to be a muzzle cap, force fitted to an artillery piece with muzzle bore diameter of 180mm. Overall diameter is 192mm, Very heavy, very well marked. There appears to be a steel bar tacked onto the back for mounting purposes. Undoubtedly a war trophy.
