Brass barrel and frame. Rare example with lanyard ring. 26.5mm. Manufactured by Stantien & Becker (St&B) in 1915. Left grip has crack which has been glued, chip out of right grip, normal wear and tear. Fully functional. A very fine example of this seldom seen WW1 German flare pistol. There is no navy marking German military marking on this flare pistol. The brass flare pistols were preferred by the navy but that does not preclude use by army.
