Original German WWII bayonet Model 1884/98 III for the Kar 98k rifle. Maker marked Karl Eickhorn and dated 1940 on the spine. Scabbard and bayonet numbers match. Blade in very good plus condition, full blue with usual minor drag marks and small staining, never sharpened. Scabbard shows considerable carry and use but is in good condition without dents. Leather frog is Luftwaffe contract maker marked and dated 1937 at bottom of frog to leave area for Luftwaffe marking at top.
