Pattern 1888 bayonet with Oliver pattern leather frog

Issued and used Pattern 1888 bayonet Crown over VR, 5, “96 dated with War Department marking on ricasso. Pommel marked with numbers 48 over 13. The 48 is for the 48th Highlanders and the leather Oliver pattern frog is also marked 48-H on the back. Owner marking Crowes Beach, 4/2/44 and name, faintly Jack Burgess.
