French Berthier Model 1892 bayonet

Knife blade with fullers on both sides and a small fuller on the back edge of the blade near the point. First model with wooden grips and muzzle ring equal in width to the crossguard. Notches on each side of the blade near the crossguard are to engage springs in the scabbard to hold it onto the blade. Dark wooden grips held by 2 rivets. Blade length 394mm. No marker markings on bayonet. Numbers on hooked quillon and scabbard do not match.
