Very interesting and well made bayonet for the Swedish Mauser 1894/14 carbine. This example is an early production bayonet from Eskilstuna Jernmanufactur AB (Eskilstuna Iron Manufacturing Inc.) and has the maker mark on the spine instead of the ricasso. Later models were marked on the ricasso as were the Carl Gustaf made bayonets. Very good condition blade and steel scabbard. The scabbard keeper catch has been modified by removing the ridge that engages the slot in the scabbard so the bayonet does not attach to the scabbard and can be withdrawn without depressing the keeper button.
