Martini Henry Mk 1 Rifle

CA$3,695.00
Enfield 1873 manufacture. Stock cartouche is clear. Checkered butt plate. Clear proofs on barrel and receiver. Bore is G+ with some residue remaining that may clean out and minor corrosion visible. Sharp rifling. Correct Mk 1 cleaning rod. Right side of butt stock marked RMC over 98 indicating that this was number 98 of the unknown quantity of rifles issued to the Royal Military College in 1878 for training officer cadets. Condition overall is close to VG with finish wear on right side of receiver as shown in photos. Brass action pivot pin has been replaced with split steel pin as a later update which likely included removal of the butt swivel at the same time. An uncommon Martini with interesting RMC marking.
