Snider Enfield Mk II** Short Rifle BSA 1866

Also called the 2 band rifle or Sergeamt’s model. BSA 1866 manufacture Steel butt plate and fittings. BSA stock cartouche is clearly visible with additional regimental issue/reissue markings, date 1884 and British out of service mark. Opposite side of butt stock (left side) shows additional marking making this an interesting and researchable arm. 30 ¾ inch barrel has an excellent bore, bright with strong rifling. Bar on barrel bayonet lug for mounting Pattern 1860 Yataghan bayonet. Original early cleaning rod and firing pin protector on chain.
