Description

Original German M40 helmet re-issued post WW2 for Austrian Gendarmerie use in late 1940’s. The original German paint is completely painted over in a light gray paint inside and out. Original German M31 liner. Leather chinstrap is Austrian, unmarked. Very desirable large size. Liner size 60. Shell size EE68 with number visible at rear 37. Interesting collectable or candidate for restoration to German WW2 configuration.
