Post WWII bayonet for the Yugoslavian Model 1948 Mauser rifle patterned closely after the German Kar 98k rifle and bayonet. Original condition bayonet with Cyrillic marking on the ricasso indicating pre 1953 production in arms factory 44 in Serbia, then a part of Yugoslavia, and still in business today as Zastava. Beautifully confused number stampings on the crossguard and scabbard speak to the urgency of production.
