High quality Snider Enfield Mk III rifle made by Thomas Turner & Sons, Birmingham for private purchase or volunteer forces use. Original stock cartouche is overstamped with Thomas Turner roundel and date of 1870 plus Birmingham proof mark. Beautifully made rifle with colour case hardened lock plate that has no marking. Deep blue finish has been well cared for with some minor marks from use. Bore is excellent. Barrel has serial number and T.Turner on top ahead of rear sight. Original early round end cleaning rod and nipple protector.
