Original all British Brunswick First Pattern percussion rifle. Back lock action is marked with Crown over VR, TOWER and dated 1838. Top of barrel is British proofed, 1840 ENFIED marked. 30 inch barrel, .70 inch bore with strong 2 groove rifling, bright with signs of light corrosion. Brass patch box is in very good condition and latches securely. All brass furniture is in very good condition with original ramrod. A superb specimen of this uncommon and highly historically significant rifle. Antique, no license required to purchase.
