Description

Turtle Shell shaped helmet replaced the D-Day Mk III helmet of the same design. The Mk4 had chinstrap rings riveted lower down on the helmet for more stable wear and used a “lift the dot” fastener for the helmet liner. Maker marked ROC for Rubery Owen Company Ltd. (Leeds). 1953 dated helmet shell. Fitted with updated Mk 5 liner adopted 1959 thereby making it unofficially, a Mk 5 helmet.
