Transitional revolver manufactured in Birmingham circa 1850. .38 inch bore with 5 groove rifling. Octogonal barrel is 4 7/8 inches long and screws into threaded end of cylinder, held in place by thumb screw. Bore is very good, bright with strong rifling and some corrosion evident. Action works. Missing one percussion nipple. Comes in original wooden case with tin of percussion caps, 6 lead balls, oil bottle and tool as shown. Lid of case has Hollis & Sheath label with owner’s name written on the top left G. Pugh 1945. Antique firearm, no licence required to purchase or own.
