French Percussion Fuze 24/31

Very interesting and advanced percussion fuze system developed in the late 19th century circa 1899 and used through WWI and later. Referred to as the Robin percussion system it was used on most of the high explosive projectiles of various calibres and fitted to each using specific threaded rings that adapt to the different size fuze holes in the shell. Used on 75mm 1897 field gun to 155mm guns and mortars. This specimen disassembles completely. Empty and inert, excellent condition and very researchable.
