Original WWII German SMi-35 bounding mine. The mine consists of an outer cannister which fits the inner bounding mine very exactly. The outer canister shows some wear at the top edge. The mine is held inside the canister with 3 small screws that tear away when the live mine fires. Top of the mine has a 3 line maker code, top line unclear but make code is drk and dated 41. Triangular fuze assembly with traditional three prong detonator in the middle and two trip wire fuzes, one of which is bakelite. Complete and full of round shrapnel balls, not ball bearing replacements. Superb example. Completely inert.
