Manufactured in 1907 prior to introduction of bayonet so this has no bayonet lug on top band. Well marked on butt stock Militia & Defence, faint stock cartouche, 1907 year of manufacture. Fitted with Mk III rear sight in very good working condition, hooded front sight. Bore is VG+ bright with strong rifling. Rifle has been well cared for, perhaps even lightly cleaned. Small crack in forestock as shown in photo.
