1944 manufacture by Steyr-Daimler-Puch (bnz). Russian capture and refurbished. Dark Russian refinish to metal, varnished solid wood stock with flat buttplate. WaA 823 marked as is Eagle proof and not peened out. Serial number stamped 903 on barrel and stock, electric penciled onto bolt and trigger guard. No other numbers match. No Russian “X” on receiver. Bore is very good, strong rifling, tight muzzle, no corrosion. Cleaning rod and capture screws are missing as is normal for Russian refurbs.
