German WWI MG08 trench mount

Trench mount for the large MG08 German machine gun that allowed the gun to become a more portable weapon. Usually mounted onto a wooden block the block, mount and gun could be moved quickly by 1 or 2 men. Original and complete in very good condition with original green paint remaining. Uncommon as few were made and even fewer survived. Photo shows example in use, for reference only. Comes with portion of water jacket captured by Canadian 2nd Division for display at no additional charge. If you can't import this it can be removed from the order.
