The Denison smock was a coverall jacket issued to Special Operations Executive (SOE) agents, the Parachute Regiment, the Glider Pilot Regiment, Air Landing Regiments, Air Observation Post Squadrons, and other Commonwealth airborne units, to wear over their Battle Dress uniform during the Second World War. This example is what collectors refer to as a 3rd Pattern smock, label dated 1954 and made by George Davis & Company, Manchester. It is a military issue, post WWII smock in very good condition with one repair to front of smock beside pocket, shown in photo. There is a letter “B” and letter “O” stenciled on the back, unknown meaning. Label inside smock is clear, dated 1954 and British broad arrow marked.
