German WW1 Practice Stick Grenade Small Head

CA$895.00
Original Imperial German World War One Model 1916 practice grenade called Ubungs Stielhandgranate (Exercise Stick Hand Grenade). Canister has holes in it and is painted red to identify as inert. Heavy metal canister, thick handle and steel cap robust for re-use. Could also be used with the normal ceramic ball and string pull ignition and small spotting charge. This appears to be the “small head” version. Canister is 105mm long, diameter 61mm. Overall length 36.5cm (14 ¼ inches). Markings on side of wooden handle include UB Sthdgr. Bz, which is stamped on both sides. One side appears to be an overstamp of the marking 5 ½ Sekunde (fuze time). Photos provided of the larger head version for comparison. This listing is for one stick grenade, the smaller head one.
