Original German World War 1 Erzatz (substitute) Flare pistol manufactured in Belgium and used by the Germans during WW1. Stocked at supply depot Lille (occupied) France, hence the name and marking in the wood grip "Kdtur, Lille" . Continued to be used in WW2 by the Wehrmacht. Uses 1 inch flares, single shot, original and in very good condition for a front line item. There were at least 2 variants of this pistol. This specimen is most commonly seen and has push button release on right hand side to allow barrel to rotate to the left for loading. Very uncommon item.
