Ersatz (substitute) bayonets were a crude bayonet developed during WWI to fit the GEW 88 and GEW 98 rifles in use at that time. Fullered blade is 10 inches (actual 9 ¾) so likely went to Turkey. The bayonet itself is in very good condition. Scabbard is also very good with much original green paint remaining. Regimental knot (trodel) attached.
