German M1884/98 sawback bayonet manufactured by Deutsche Masschinfabrik A.G. No date marked so possibly private purchase. Very good overall condition. Blade VG as are sawback teeth. Flash protector on grip and pommel shows Fraktur inspection mark. All steel scabbard in very good condition without dents, no blue finish remaining on scabbard. Uncommon early bayonet used with the GEW 98 rifle.
