French Pre-WWI Daudeteau Model 1895 bayonet

Identical to the 1886 Lebel bayonet with the exception of a mortise on the left side of the brass alloy handle and a smaller muzzle ring diameter of 14mm. Handle is brass alloy and numbered 3492 at the back of the pommel. Steel parts have uniform pitting including scabbard. Bayonet catch button still works. This is a very uncommon bayonet for the French produced Daudeteau rifle.
