Original US leather sling with brass hooks as used on the Springfield 1903 rifle as well as other US military rifles such as 1917 Enfield and even carried over to the M1 Garand. Used condition, dark leather colour in good condition but recommended for display only, not for use. Clearly maker marked and dated 1916 which is pre-WW1 for the USA.
