Bren Gun training bipod only

This is the bipod only part of the Bren Gun training set of bipod and carrying handle. The set was produced by Parker Hale in the 1949's for attachment to a SMLE rifle to simulate a Bren Gun for training purposes. Equipment was in short supply at the outbreak of war due to inadequate British government planning and blatant denial. Even shorter supply after Dunkirk. Very interesting private purchase item.
