Swiss Model 1878 Sawback bayonet

First pattern sawback sword bayonet for Swiss Vetterli rifles. Four grip rivets, set screw beneath pommel, guide notch on side of muzzle ring. Quillon marked with small crown over C proof which is repeated on the scabbard chape dome. Single fullered blade is bright, VG+ condition and marked S.J.G. Neuhausen. Scabbard is bright steel mounted leather in excellent condition with frog loop but no leather strap has survived. Beautifully made, uncommon Swiss bayonet.
