Remington Rolling Block rifle bayonet

This is an export bayonet supplied by Remington to Mexico in 1899 – 1900. Sometimes called the Mexican Model 1899 or Remington No. 5 rifle short bayonet. No Mexican markings. Blade is 8.25 inches long and marked in the fuller “Remington Arms Co. Ilion, NY.”. Bright blade in very good condition. Hooked quillon. Comes in steel scabbard with integral leather belt frog.
