Bayonet for Lee Metford or Long Lee Enfield rifles. Mk I Second type with cleanout hole in handle. Clearly marked as made by Wilkinson Sword, dated July 1896 (7’96). Crown over VR marked, WD marked on opposite side with proof and bend mark. Blade in very good condition. Complete with scabbard in good condition, frog stud marked 6H 279.
