US Model 1917 bayonet for the P17 Enfield rifle. Manufactured by Remington 1917 on left ricasso model number. Right side marked with US, flaming bomb and eagle acceptance marking with date below not fully stamped and shows up as only “8” but would be ‘18. Scabbard is US 1917 model with uncommon Maxim leather belt tab that holds wire belt hanger. Leather tab unmarked or marking not visible. Green painted scabbard for WWII use primarily by Home Guard. Issued and used, very good condition overall.
