British Pattern 1853 socket bayonet with scabbard

Designed for the British Pattern 1853 rifle musket, it also fits others including the Snider Enfield conversion of the above rifle. Thumbnail type fuller. Ricasso has 3-line Enfield inspection stamp. Socket has regimental marking or rack numbering. Blade in Very Good original condition shows use in the field with minor staining. Brass mounted leather scabbard in good condition. Leather is marked with British broad arrow, WD and regimental or rack numbering. Chape is tight but missing one rivet as shown in photo.
