French Berthier 1892 bayonet

Knife blade with fullers on both sides and a small fuller on the back edge of the blade near the point. Notches on each side of the blade near the crossguard are to engage springs in the scabbard to hold it onto the blade. This is a modified pattern with wood grips, second pattern muzzle ring that overlaps the crossguard at the back and shortened quillon. Dark wooden grips held by 2 rivets. Blued blade is 397mm. No marker markings on bayonet. Scabbard frog stud is modified.
