Early Model 1886 bayonet retains hooked quillon and round knurled catch button. After World War One the blades were shortened to 400mm (15 7/8 inches) circa 1935 and the model name changed to 1886/35 or 1118/15/35 depending on the Lebel bayonet being shortened. Original condition with matching numbers on the bayonet hooked quillon and scabbard.
