Crown over VR, Enfield 1887 clearly marked on right side of receiver. Well worn rifle typical of Mk IV Martini. Virtually no original blue finish remains. Bright steel has been varnished and the varnish has turned yellow giving the steel parts a golden yellow hue and a crackling appearance. Top of knox form marked PAK over 407. Butt stock is converted from Mk III butt to accommodate long lever. Complete with sling swivels and cleaning rod. Bore is dark with strong rifling and no corrosion evident, surprisingly good actually for a rifle that has had such a hard life. Antique firearm, no licence required to purchase or own.
