Bayonet for Lee Metford or Long Lee Enfield rifles. Mk I Second type with cleanout hole in handle and hole in pommel to take cleaning rod. Very crisp Crown over VR dated 8 ‘ 96. WD marked on opposite side with Enfield proof and bend mark. Blade in very good condition. Complete with scabbard in good condition. Bayonet is numbered on Crossguard 1068 with matching number on frog stud of scabbard.
