OSS Stiletto Fighting Knife with scabbard known as the “Pancake Flipper”. Produced between 1942 – 1943 for OSS use (Office of Strategic Services). Very good original condition with blade in very good to excellent condition 98% blue. Knurled grip retains much original blackened finish with some brass showing through from handling. Pancake Flipper scabbard is in very good to excellent condition with minor wear, keeping in mind that the rubber grommet that held the retaining strap has deteriorated as they commonly do and the rubber residue is still present on both the scabbard and the knife handle. Superb example of the scarce and very desirable OSS Stiletto Fighting Knife, in excellent condition overall. Guaranteed original.
