US Model 1917 bayonet for the P17 Enfield rifle. Manufactured by Remington and nicely marked on ricasso Remington 1917 with flaming bomb over US, eagle head, bend mark and manufacture date 12 (1912). Pommel is stamped C broad arrow indicating Canadian ownership and use. The Model 1917 bayonet fit both the US P17 Enfield rifle (30-06) and the British P14 rifle (303 British). This bayonet has belt loops ground off the scabbard and is tightly fitted with a Canadian marked P37 web frog for home front use. Scabbard has green finish leather ECB. Bayonet and scabbard in VG+ original condition.
