US MNG Indian Wars cartridge pouch

Use by National Guard troops in the Maryland, Massachusetts, Maine (?) states in the late 1800’s during the Indian War period. Box measures approximately 8″ x 1 ¾” x 6″, front cover has MNG brass monogram but otherwise unmarked. Used, mounted on uniform cross straps which show some wear on the back of the pouch. Closing strap and stud present. Leather is flexible with surface cracking to the finish as shown in the photos.
