U.S. WWI Trench Knife M1917 with heavily serrated edges running down each side of the handguard. Blade is 9 inch triangular blued steel tapering to a very sharp point intended to puncture heavy clothing. Maker is stamped into the underside of the hand guard A.C.Co. USA 1917 (American Cutlery Company of Chicago). Scabbard is steel mounted green leather maker marked JEWELL 1918. Overall very good original condition with some surface corrosion to the steel scabbard parts. Blade is very good plus with much original blue, no nicks and only drag marks. Guaranteed original.
