Description

Original long quillback bayonet for Ottoman Empire Mauser rifle. Very similar in design to the German 1898 bayonet but they are not interchangeable. Well marked with Turkish symbols, inscriptions, numerals and crescent. Steel mounted leather scabbard is intact showing corrosion on the metal parts. Leather stitching is starting to come apart as shown in photo but still sound. Rare bayonet as most were cut down.
