Very unique early Sten Mk II using pressed sheet steel body made by wrapping around a mandrel and welding the seam at the bottom. Researchable and detailed by Peter Laidler in “The Sten Machine Carbine”, page 299. Crude construction is obvious by welding of magazine well to formed body. Many of these “wrapped” Sten guns were gathered up and broken down for spare parts, the bodies destroyed. Uncommon specimen for dedicated collector. Deactivated, bolt does not retract. Magazine is removable and is deactivated. No license required to purchase. Purchased as deactivated so no deactivation letter with this item.
