Lock marked Crown over VR, 1861 Enfield. Top of breech II*, broad arrow WD. Barrel has numerous proofs with broad arrow WD repeated. Enfield stock cartouche is still visible but faint. Brass butt tang is unmarked but has number 577 stamped on it as does side of stock. Cleaning rod is correct early style but does not screw into place. Bore is VG+, bright with strong rifling. Antique firearm, no licence required to purchase or own.
