1828 pattern basket hilt broadsword with unmarked blade. The unmarked blades were used by Sergeants and NCO’s who could only afford a simple, utilitarian blade. Removable pommel makes this a later version, probably WWI era. This is an original sword in very good condition. Nice overall patina. Steel scabbard.
