Canadian Ross Mk II bayonet for the M1910 (Mk III) rifle. Uncommon early manufacture 4-12. During first 3 months of production (January 1912 to March 1912) Mk II bayonets had a straight edge to both sides of the crossguard, also retained the spring in mortise slot as used on the Pattern 1908 (Mk I) bayonet to prevent rattle when mounted on the rifle. Comparison photo provided for information only. C broad arrow marked and in very good plus condition. Pommel marked with date 2-15 and regimental numbering 63 over 462. Blade is smoothly ground to a point, the Mk II configuration field modification. Blade is sharpened. Comes with very good condition leather scabbard marked C broad arrow and 1916 dated. Top of locket is numbered 137. Scabbard is coloured black to a rifle regiment.
