Ross Rifle Mk II bayonet Royal Navy Contract

The British Royal Navy contract of 1914 saw Mk II bayonets for the Mk III rifle purchased directly from the Ross Rifle company inventory. Bayonet has the ricasso marked with British broad arrow and RSAF Enfield 3 line inspectors mark (crown over inspector’s number over E). There is no marking on the left pommel nor top of tang. Scabbard is marked RRC and dated 1909. The throat of the scabbard has numerous number markings as shown in photo. Very uncommon to see this marking.
